End of Train Monitor/RepeaterTrain Informations Systems compatible modem/repeaterDocuments released by the American Railway Engineering and Maintenance-of-Way Association (AREMA) specify how Train Informations Systems (TIS) communicate with each other over RF links. One such TIS is the End of Train Monitor, or Sense & Brake Unit. Sometimes it is necessary to monitor and additionally retransmit these RF signals within a yard for the smooth running of the system. For this purpose HASCOM developed the End of Train Monitor/Repeater. This device works in conjunction with a two way radio to receive the RF signal, decode it, and optionally, after a delay, re-transmit it.
